Director of Business Development

A SHIFT, we are looking for a Director of Business Development to help us grow our membership base with a focus on corporate accounts. Over the next 18 months, SHIFT is planning to expand to new locations and offer a variety of new services. We are looking for a candidate to lead the outside sales efforts of the business and to work alongside marketing, sales and member services to actively expand SHIFT’s member base.

This person will work to grow and establish SHIFT in targeted regions at an aggressive pace ensuring the foundation of the company is built for long-term success. The Director of Business Development should have experience selling into the C-Suite and a track record of building trust and credibility among decision makers. This person is resilient, hardworking, persistent and willing to be humbled. This role will be predominantly commission based and this person will work alongside the founder and CEO.

You will: (responsibilities)

  • Identify the needs (and solutions) for prospective members
  • Use prospecting strategies to lead initial outreach with a focus on potential corporate opportunities
  • Establish strong relationships with key executives
  • Network with potential corporate clients and executives through events and entertaining
  • Work to continuously develop the sales funnel and pipeline
  • Manage prospects through the entirety of the sales cycle
  • Segment and organize existing lead lists
  • Establish targeted sales approach for existing lead lists
  • Consistently hit and exceed sales goals while holding a high standard of integrity

You have:

  • bachelor’s degree (liberal arts and sciences or business)
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • 2-4 years of sales experience in a dynamic, demanding environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • A desire to be part of, and to serve, a team
  • A desire to acquire new knowledge and experiences
  • A passion for integrated personal health and wellness
  • An aptitude for handling multiple concurrent assignments on time with a high degree of accuracy
  • Experience and comfort with learning new online systems/software

Member Services Associate

At SHIFT, we are looking for a Member Services Associate who is efficient, detail-oriented, comfortable being part of a small, fast-paced team, and able to handle a wide range of responsibilities on a day-to-day basis with confidence. Our mandate is to help Members build, expand, and maintain complete well-being—our integrated, relational healthcare model drives stronger physical performance, increased energy, improved mental acuity, and positive health outcomes. This supporting role is essential to our membership growth and healthcare service delivery.

The Member Services Associate provides ancillary support to Sales and Operations and involves participation in various workflows related to Member Services, Facilities Management, and Sales. The three primary objectives of this role are to 1) provide exceptional service to members; 2) maintain for SHIFT Members and visitors a clean, modern, and efficient environment and an inviting atmosphere, and; 3) support the Sales Team in the end-to-end sales process, including external communication, payment processing, and retention efforts. In addition to the primary objectives, the Member Services Associate will also support Marketing and Communications for an interim period while the Sales and Marketing Manager is on temporary leave. The position is based in the River North area of Chicago, IL and requires a 6:15am start, Monday-Friday.

You will:

  • Greet and assist SHIFT Members and visitors daily
  • Manage a broad range of core administrative duties in support of Operations
  • Run local errands (e.g. supply pickups), as needed
  • Address routine and ad hoc facility upkeep issues
  • Manage and serve as primary contact for select vendors
  • Manage various functions related to Membership transactions
  • Process contracts and payments for new members
  • Enter, validate, and manage member-related data
  • Address inbound inquiries about SHIFT (e.g. re: services, membership changes, transactions/payment methods, services, and insurance)
  • Coordinate with operations and finance to transition new members into the SHIFT experience
  • Manage renewals, contract changes and cancellations for current members
  • Weekly tracking/reporting of sales-related activities and transactions
  • Communicate with Team about changes in Membership
  • Prepare and provide accurate reports on key metrics based on raw data
  • Deliver outbound communication to members on a scheduled and ad hoc basis
  • Manage prospective member follow-up and track activities in CRM software
  • Provide support with implementation of operational improvements and sales activities
  • Share materials, answer questions and conduct tours for prospects, as needed
  • Be challenged to acquire new competencies and accept new challenges
