FAQ

What is SHIFT?

SHIFT is a transformative approach to primary health care delivery. Members work in partnership with a team of physicians, dietitians, fitness coaches and physical therapists, to create and integrate customized, science-based and sustainable lifestyle plans. SHIFT offers Members an open, accessible, state of the art facility with the best diagnostic, fitness and recovery equipment, and amenities, where members are part of a supportive, inspiring and motivating community of doctors, coaches and friends.

What are my payment options?

SHIFT’s Life Membership fees may be paid in monthly installments. All other Membership Fees are due in full at the time of enrollment

Can I use my health insurance to pay for my membership?

SHIFT does not accept insurance; however, depending on your health insurance coverage, you may be able to use HSA/FSA funds to pay for part of your membership fees, or submit a claim to your health insurance provider for possible reimbursement/credit against your deductible.

Would I keep my Primary Care Provider?

It is up to you. SHIFT physicians can serve as your primary care physician or work hand-in-hand with existing care providers.

How is SHIFT different from medicine providers?

SHIFT is a community. We go above and beyond the primary care experience by creating comprehensive lifestyle plans involving doctors, physical therapists, registered dietitians and fitness coaches. Not only do we take care of you when you are sick, but we work to build real health so that you can overcome life’s challenges and live in an optimal state.

Am I able to workout at SHIFT outside of class times?

Life Members may access the facility Monday through Saturday for use of the cardio equipment during non-class times. With medical and fitness clearance, you may use all other available fitness equipment. SHIFT hours are as follows: Monday- Thursday 6:30am-6pm, Friday 6:30 am-5pm and Saturday 7:30am-10am.

Why do I receive two charges when I sign up for a SHIFT membership?

By splitting the fees the amounts paid more closely align with the portion of the membership which is dedicated strictly to medical services, and the portion which is dedicated to general health and wellness, which typically assists with the processing of any insurance related transactions or use of an HSA.
