As the Sports Specialist Physical Therapist of SHIFT, Eric functions in both the pre-hab and re-hab settings. From new member full body strength & mobility assessments and video gait analyses to sports injuries and post-surgical rehabilitation, Eric provides exceptional service to both SHIFT members and the public. Previously, Eric was the owner of ExcelPT at Lakeshore Integrative Healthcare in Lincoln Park. Eric is a graduate of the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine after attending Illinois Wesleyan University for his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a concentration in Health and Biology. As a lifelong athlete, Eric was the captain of the Track and Field team and the male student athlete representative of IWU, where he received the Merle Chapman Leadership Award for Excellence in Academics and Athletics. Since completing his DPT degree at Northwestern University, Eric has become Board Certified as a Sports Specialist and has become a Certified Myofascial Trigger Point Therapist (Dry Needling). Eric believes in treating the whole person, not just the injury/symptoms. Each patient is a unique individual and deserves unique treatment. When he’s not treating patients at SHIFT, you can find Eric at the gym, playing football, volleyball, dodgeball, and bowling, or catching up on his latest TV series obsession.
